What is the
CPSU (SPSF Group)
SA Branch ?

Community and Public Sector Union/State Public Services Federation Group- SA Branch (CPSU/SPSF Group - SA Branch) is the South Australian branch of the national union for public sector workers. The CPSU/SPSF Group SA Branch is currently the largest white-collar union in South Australia representing employees from Government departments, statutory authorities, Universities and some outsourced enterprises providing services on behalf of the State Government. We are located at 122 Pirie Street, Adelaide.

What are the SPSF and the CPSU?

As the national union for public sector workers, the CPSU comprises State and Commonwealth public sector groups. The South Australian branch for employees of the state public sector is the CPSU, State Public Services Federation (SPSF Group) SA Branch.

It is important that SA State public sector employees are part of the national standards and systems that impact on wages and conditions. You belong to both the PSA (State registered) and the CPSU (SPSF Group) (Federally registered) to ensure your voice is heard at all levels.

A national structure for state public sector unions provides increased lobbying power and, through economies of scale, better resources.

Financial members of the CPSU (SPSF Group) SA Branch are also members of the Public Service Association of SA Inc (PSA). The PSA was originally formed in 1885 and exists to provide a range of imdustrial and non-industrial services to CPSU (SPSF Group) and PSA members.
