Transforming Health - New RAH - Neuro Trauma Rehabilitation Unit Discussion Paper - Now Out for Consultation

At the June new Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) Industrial Forum the Director for Nursing from Central Adelaide Rehabilitation Service provided a presentation about the Neuro-Trauma Rehabilitation Unit in the new RAH. The Consultation Paperis now out for consultation.

The PSA was advised that at the new RAH there will be a dedicated 12 bed Neuro-Trauma Rehabilitation Unit. This will be a new way of providing rehabilitation services within the existing SA Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (SABIRS) and the SA Spinal Cord Injury Service (SASCIS). These 12 beds will be transferred from Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, six beds from the SABIRS and six beds from the SASCIS sub-acute Units.

The PSA encourages members to provide feedback through survey monkey at, or in writing to Workforce Workstream, new RAH Program, Level 8, Emergency Block, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, SA 5000. The PSA feedback is due by close of business 12 August 2016, which is an additional week after the date feedback has been requested from staff.
