Tafe SA – Urgent Update – Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Audit Outcomes and Resignation of Tafe SA Chief Executive Officer

05 December 2017

The Public Service Association (PSA) is aware of the outcome of the ASQA audit impacting on enrolments in 14 courses and qualification concerns for hundreds of students. It appears that this has led to the sudden resignation of the CEO, Robin Murt as well as the Minister for Education, the Hon. Susan Close MP calling for the resignation of the Board Chair, Peter Vaughan, and an independent review into these issues.

Due to the current situation and unknown impacts from here the PSA sought that all reviews/realignments be placed on hold and that an urgent briefing be provided to the PSA regarding these impacts on our members and service delivery.

Once further information is known the PSA will undertake meetings at all sites as well as hold a Skype meeting for all country members.

The PSA knows that this latest outcome may distress our members given your dedication to providing quality services for students. The PSA will support all members throughout this process and the time ahead.
