SALHN Update | COVID-19

02 April 2020

The Public Service Association (PSA) has been in communication with Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) on a regular basis ensuring they are up to date with COVID-19 procedures and to raise workplace issues facing our members.

As workers in public health, your work is crucial to serve the community and keep the public safe and healthy. We are proud of the work you do every day and how you have been supporting the public and others in your workplace. The PSA is working to make sure you are supported and kept as safe and healthy as possible at work so you can continue to support the public in essential health services.

As your union we are closely monitoring the changing situation with COVID-19 and raising workplace issues as they come up with SALHN management.

The PSA is always here for our members who have questions or concerns about how this situation is being managed.

Please reach out if you have questions regarding your work. Some questions coming through to us include rights to access to Personal Protective Equipment, wellbeing support, working from home, social distancing in the workplace, and how you can be supported as a worker more vulnerable to COVID-19.

We will continue to work with your Worksite Representatives on the ground, and raise issues with SALHN management to protect our members working in public health and to minimise the potential for any negative outcomes for our members.

Please do not hesitate to contact the PSA Members’ Rights Hotline on 8205 3227 or by email to enquiries@cpsu.asn.au, or your PSA Organiser directly at with any concerns or industrial issues.

It is a very difficult time for you all and now, more than ever, working together and looking after your workmates is the best place to start. Be kind to each other and check on how people are travelling while taking the time to look after your own wellbeing. Being union means we are here for each other in the good and tough times.
