SA Medical Imaging Executive Office Structure

28 August 2017

The 2014 KPMG Review identified 25 improvement initiatives of which 24 were approved by SA Health (Jan 2016). The PSA has asked SAMI Executive for an update on the extent of enactment of these recommendations.

One of the recommendations identified that additional positions were required within SAMI Executive Office to support operational, planning and strategic functions of SAMI. Those recommendations were endorsed by SA Health in 2015, however, significant changes to the structure were not made.

The SAMI Executive Office currently comprises of the Executive Director SAMI and an Executive Assistant as well as a Manager. Given the adoption of the recommendations of the KPMG Review, a decision was made to develop a new structure for consultation.

SA Health provided the PSA with a copy of the consultation paper (attached here) which includes both the current and proposed structure as well as the proposed role descriptions for the additional positions within the proposed structure.

There appears to be no impact to existing staff beyond proposed reporting line changes.

Please read and consider the consultation paper and submit your comments, thoughts and suggestions to the PSA by close of business Thursday, 31 August 2017.
