PSA Receives Government's Enterprise Bargaining Offer

The Public Service Association (PSA) has received the Government enterprise bargaining offer after months of negotiations. The offer is made as a total package. The PSA is pleased that a number of positive outcomes have been achieved for members. The following are some of the elements included in the offer:

  • Three x 2.5% per annum general salary increases from the first full pay periods on or after 1 October 2015, 1 October 2016, and 1 October 2017
  • Improved workload protections including strengthening of the workload monitoring group, and inclusion of a work health and safety clause
  • A review of, and improvements to, the SSO work level definitions and the reclassification process with a review of ECWs and AEWs to follow
  • Toileting Allowance for SSOs and ECWs - $500 per annum
  • Increase of on call and recall allowances
  • TOIL and Overtime for AEWs
  • New entitlement to partner leave - access up to one calendar week of accrued sick leave on the birth or adoption of a child or children


The PSA will be undertaking worksite visits and holding meetings in schools shortly to discuss the offer in more detail and to answer any questions members may have.
