PSA Member Enterprise Bargaining Survey

14 January 2020

Thank you to all members who participated in the PSA’s initial Enterprise Bargaining Survey. Survey participation was high and representative of the make up of our membership more broadly.

The results of our survey will drive our negotiation objectives. The key areas members have identified as most important to you are:

  •  Job protection and security
  •  Protection from, and processes to deal with, unreasonable workloads
  •  Maintaining our effective redeployment systems and processes
  •  Maintaining and improving current conditions of employment
  •  A fair and reasonable wage outcome

Now that initial member feedback has been collated, the key bargaining issues identified will frame our broad negotiation objectives as our more specific agenda continues to be refined with members.

The survey identified a number of broad industrial issues and suggestions as well as agency level matters which will be discussed with Worksite Representatives from those affected areas in more detail before our final position on these matters is determined.

It is important PSA members continue to have their say about the next salaried enterprise agreement. PSA Organisers are continuing to hold meetings specifically about enterprise bargaining at worksites across the state. The PSA’s position will continue to be refined through the input of members at these worksite meetings and through your Worksite Representatives. Please make sure you get to these meetings to continue to provide your important contributions to your next agreement.

The next Single Bargaining Centre meeting with the Government and other parties representing workers will be held tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday 15 January 2020.

Members will be provided with a further update on negotiations following that meeting.
