Proposed Transitional Care Unit | Ward 2A Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre

31 May 2018

The PSA has been advised of a proposed ‘Transitional Care Unit’.

Ward 2A at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre is currently closed after the transfer of rehabilitation beds to the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN). As part of the proposal, a 25 bed ward will be temporarily reopened for the months of July to October 2018 as a Transitional Care Unit. The Unit will provide additional capacity for patients who have completed their acute care but still require treatment and care prior to their transition home or to another facility.

The PSA is seeking feedback by email from members regarding the proposed opening of the Transitional Care Unit Ward 2A at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre.
