Proposed Transition to New Adelaide Dental Hospital

13 February 2017

The Public Service Association (PSA) has recently been provided with documentation in relation to the proposed transition to the new Adelaide Dental Hospital (ADH).

The South Australian Dental Service (SADS) has entered into a period of consultation commencing immediately. PSA members are encouraged to comment on the proposals either directly with Ms Anne Pak-Poy, General Manager Adelaide Dental Hospital, or through the PSA.

There are two staff forums which the PSA will be attending at the ADH Staff Lunch Room, Level 3:

  • 12:45pm, Thursday 16 February, and
  • 12:15pm, Friday 17 February.

Members are strongly encouraged to attend one of these meetings to seek clarity of the process and to ask relevant questions. The PSA will be available immediately after the meetings for communication with members, and those interested in joining.

The target operational date for the new ADH is scheduled for 26 June 2017. Management have assured the PSA of their commitment to involve staff in genuine consultation.

The PSA has requested paid time meetings for members to meet. The times of these meetings will be notified in the near future.

The PSA is seeking feedback from members in relation to this proposed transition by Wednesday 22 February 2017. Please forward any feedback to PSA Industrial Organiser Barry McBride on 8205 3252 or by email to Please ask your colleagues to join the PSA to strengthen our representation during this process.
