PIRSA and SARDI | COVID-19 Update

26 March 2020

The Public Service Association (PSA) has been in communication with Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) and South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) ensuring they are up to date with COVID-19 procedures.
As your union we are closely monitoring these unprecedented events and keeping PIRSA and SARDI accountable.
There have been many queries coming from workplaces over the past week or so. We encourage all members to access the PIRSA Intranet for up to date information. The PSA is receiving this information as it is posted so we are able to share with our members correct, timely and factual information.
The PSA is always here for our members who have questions or concerns about how this situation is being managed.
The PSA has had constructive discussions with People and Culture and will we continue to work closely with them to protect our members working in this essential public service to minimise any negative outcomes for our members. We anticipate from our discussions with People and Culture that currently 30% of employees are working from home, with an expectation that an additional 30% of employees are likely to commence work from home arrangements in the next two weeks.
The PSA has received many questions from members in the last two weeks. These concerns have been raised directly with People and Culture and we will continue follow up issues raised by members.
Please do not hesitate to contact the PSA Members’ Rights Hotline on 82053227 or your PSA Organiser directly with any concerns or industrial issues.
Remember it is a very difficult time for you all and now, more than ever, working together and looking after your workmates is the best place to start. Be kind to each other and check on how people are travelling while taking the time to look after your own wellbeing.
