DPTI continues to respond to concerns raised by members resulting from the proposed job cuts to the Technical Services Section in an inadequate manner.The PSA again outlined concerns in an email to Technical Services Manager Ana Glavinic, dated 26 May 2017, specifically outlining concerns about job cuts in the Asbestos, Road Design and Structure units. more>

Another DPTI Restructure Announced - Planning and Transport Policy Directorate

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) announced at a meeting on Thursday 22 June 2017, a restructure focused on the Planning and Transport Policy Directorate. This new restructure was described as necessary as a result of outcomes from the previous restructures under rejuvenation, as well as an opportunity for “further improvement, integration of functions, and optimisation of performance” within a Directorate that “requires structural changes”. more>

Transforming Health: Central Adelaide Local Health Network - Proposal to Utilise Dedicated Space for Clinical Trials for The New Royal Adelaide Hospital

Following discussions with Clinical Trials staff where is was considered appropriate to identify a dedicated clinical trials space rather than incorporate clinical trial participants into ad hoc outpatient space. The PSA has now been advised of a proposal to utilise a dedicated space in the new RAH for Clinical Trials. more>

Youth Court Review

The PSA received information from CAA regarding progress on the review of the structure of CAA. CAA have stated they expect to have a proposed model and structure from the current review after further discussions with the Youth Court Judge. more>

Royal Adelaide Hospital Proposed Pharmacy Workforce

SA Pharmacy presented the proposed RAH Pharmacy Workforce model to RAH staff on June 23 and June 26 in anticipation of the impending move to the new RAH, and to upgrade to contemporary pharmacy standards. more>

PSA Lodge Dispute On The Child Safety Pathway

The PSA has lodged a dispute notification with the Department for Child Protection (DCP) in regard to the implementation of the Child Safety Pathway that consists of a call team to triage calls. more>

Expectation of Good Management Practice

The PSA has recently been approached by members at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH) detailing generally poor management practices. Some of these issues have been in relation to issuing of rosters in a timely manner and approval processes for leave taking. more>

Appropriate Remuneration for Duties Undertaken

Members at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital approached the Public Service Association (PSA) recently for assistance with ensuring that the correct remuneration was being paid by the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) for duties undertaken. This matter was specific to ASO1 casual members who consistently backfill ASO2 positions, but are only paid at the ASO1 classification level. This is not an acceptable practice. more>
