Members on Contracts in The SA Housing Authority

20 August 2018

The PSA’s investigation into the employing practices of the SA Housing Authority with regard to the level of ongoing vs. contract employees is continuing.

If you have been on contract for more than two years the PSA asks you send copies of all of your contracts to PSA.

The PSA is seeking this information to determine if a pattern can be detected around the general employing practices of Housing SA and Renewal SA that has lead to the unreasonable level of people currently on contracts in the new Housing Authority.

If your contract has not been renewed or has been terminated please contact the PSA Members’ Rights Hotline immediately.

Members are reminded that if they are asked to sign one of the new 10 page SA Housing Authority contracts to ensure that they insert the following clause on the signature page:

“I am signing this contract on the express basis that Part 7 of the Public Sector Act 2009, the SA Public Sector Salaried

Employees Interim Award, and the South Australian Modern Public Sector Enterprise Agreement Salaried 2017 will apply administratively to my employment with the South Australian Housing Trust until those instruments have been amended to cover my employment in the Authority.”
