KPMG Report on SA Medical Imaging Recommendations now being Implemented

22 January 2016

On Friday 22 January 2016 the PSA attended the Statewide Clinical Support Services Industrial Liaison Forum where it was announced that 24 of the 25 recommendations from the KPMG Report released in March 2015 are being adopted and implemented.

SA Health's Response document was tabled at the above consultative forum (link).

The only recommendation not being implemented is the recommendation to transfer nuclear medicine from the Women's and Children's Hospital to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The PSA was advised that it is not anticipated that there will be any loss of FTE by adopting these recommendations. The PSA will keep members informed as this implementation consultative process progresses.

Moving forward from today a detailed draft implementation plan will now be developed and the specific service changes required under each adopted recommendation will be fully determined during this implementation planning stage.

The PSA is committed to ensuring required consultative principles are adhered to.
