International Women's Day - Be Bold For Change

08 March 2017

Today is International Women's Day (IWD) which celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

IWD started over a century ago and is a global day of celebration and awareness raising for gender parity held annually on 8 March around the world.

The Union movement has been significantly involved with the progression of women's working and social rights throughout history including a focus on pay equality, anti-discrimination, superannuation, maternity leave and the condemnation of sexual harassment and violence.

The PSA is proud to be a part of that history and looks forward to a future of better working conditions and pay equality for women.

Show your support by attending the Adelaide International Women's Day march at 5:30pm at Hindmarsh Square today or join the PSA in raising awareness for IWD by posting photos of you and colleagues with your commitment to the future to the PSA Facebook page with #BeBoldForChange.

Regardless of gender, everyone can play a part in driving better outcomes for women.
