Flinders University Enterprise Bargaining Update

A draft Flinders University Enterprise Agreement has now been provided to all employees  for their consideration.

The unions are in support of a "Yes" vote on the proposed Agreement.

Since 2017, there have been prolonged discussions and negotiations between the unions involved (CPSU, NTEU and AMWU) and management representatives.

This has resulted in the proposed Agreement which includes improved conditions and a number of pay rises.

The salary increases proposed are:

1.8%                       3 July 2021
1.9%                       2 July 2022

Superannuation
The proposed new Enterprise Agreement provides an increase to 17% superannuation for fixed term and part time employees less than 0.5 from 31 December 2021.

Improved conditions include:

  •  Increase in paid Partner Leave from 5 to 15 days
  •  Expanded definition of “family member”
  •  Improvements to Domestic Violence Leave provisions with up to 5 days per occasion
  •  Clarified Primary Carer Leave
  •  Removal of junior rates of pay
