Flinders Medical Centre Car Park Update No: 7

02 February 2016

As part of the car parking consultation forum Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) has provided an update to the Public Service Association (PSA) on the car parking arrangements for FMC.

Parking at
the Tonsley site is now available to staff. Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) has advised that a number of staff have already begun using Tonsley and the bus shuttles.

FMC has advised that
approximately 70 staff have so far given up their parking permits and are taking advantage of the Tonsley site. These staff are provided a 50% discount on their car parking fees and upon completion of the new developments will be able to reinstate their permits.

A reminder to members that the Flinders University car park permits will no longer be valid after Friday 19 February 2016.

FMC has advised that staff will continue to be informed via regular communiques, FAQs and the SALHN intranet about the car parking arrangements. An information session about the car parking arrangements at Tonsley and other car parks around FMC will be held on Monday 8 February 2016 from 2pm – 3pm at FMC Lecture Theatre.

PSA members are encouraged to continue to forward their questions to the PSA.
