Enterprise Bargaining – SA Water Offer

28 May 2020

The current SA Water Enterprise Agreement is due to expire on 30 June 2020. The last salary increase in the current Agreement was paid on 1 July 2019.

The CPSU/PSA, along with other Unions party to the SA Water Enterprise Agreement, has been negotiating a successor Agreement and further salary increase.

Following considerable negotiation with the CPSU/PSA and the other Unions SA Water has advised it intends to put the following offer to its employees and conduct an employee ballot:

  •  A 1.2% salary increase payable on 1 July 2020
  •  A 12 month extension to the current Enterprise Agreement with a new nominal expiry date of 30 June 2021
  •  Current terms and conditions of employment to remain unchanged and be extended to 30 June 2021
  •  Enterprise Bargaining negotiations to commence again early next year

All Unions advocated for a higher salary increase however negotiations were constrained by the current pandemic issues.

It is important that members vote as it is the majority decision of the votes received that determines the outcome of the ballot.

The CPSU/PSA recommends a “YES” vote accepting the SA Water Enterprise Agreement offer.

Continued strong membership engagement is the key to protecting and building on what we have achieved together through successive enterprise agreements. Make sure your colleagues know how important it is to be a union member, and what we can achieve together.
