Dynamic Model Overtime Process Adelaide Youth Training Centre

23 October 2019

The Public Service Association (PSA) and Worksite Representatives at the Adelaide Youth Training Centre (AYTC) have worked very hard negotiating great outcomes for staffing levels at Goldsborough Road site when the movement of young people from Jonal Drive occurs.

Working together we have ensured four Behaviour Support Officers will be on shift with the ability to fill these positions with overtime.

This week we also gained agreement to ensure there will be two OPS 5 Supervisors on shift, with the second being covered with overtime if one takes leave to ensure the smooth running of AYTC. This has been guaranteed for a trial period of three weeks and is a great win. Management had previously refused to fill the Supervisor role if leave was taken of less than one week.

Members, working together with Worksite Representatives will need to monitor this process and document any issues arising from the Dynamic Model so that the PSA with members are able to engage in genuine review of this model which AYTC management has committed to.
