DPTI - Work Health and Safety (WHS) Draft Policies Open for Consultation

The Public Service Association (PSA) has received the following documents for consultation:

The consultation period gives members an opportunity to help shape the procedures, as required by both the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and your enterprise agreement the South Australian Modern Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2017.

Members have the right to be safe from harm at work. These draft policies are part of the Department’s response to meeting their responsibilities under the relevant Legislation.

Members also have the right to have their union involved in all Health and Safety matters. Members can call the PSA Members’ Rights Hotline on 8205 3227 to raise concerns regarding WHS issue.

Members who are Health and Safety Representatives in DPTI are always encouraged to consider nominating to become PSA Worksite Representatives. Worksite Representatives are entitled to attend training in paid time at the PSA and it is another great way to support your colleagues. PSA members interested in becoming a Worksite Representative are encouraged to contact their PSA Organiser.

Members are encouraged to raise any issues or feedback on the proposed documents to by email by 5:00pm, Friday 30 November 2018.
