Dispute Continues – What is the Future of the Public Trustee

The PSA has provided the Attorney General’s Department and Public Trustee with the responses members submitted to the PSA Workloads Survey.

The next meeting in the dispute resolution process should commence within the next two weeks. The PSA will update members as the workload issue progresses.

There is an expectation that the ICAC evaluation report and recommendations will become available in the coming weeks. It will be important to evaluate the impact of these recommendations on existing workload issues.

The systemic issues within the Public Trustee require change, however this must be a move towards positive outcomes for staff and the community. Updates and information released on the processes mentioned above will be important and will require ongoing feedback from members.
