DECD: Families SA - PSA Defends Members' Right to Take Action

The Department should be clear that if it wants the industrial action to be reviewed or lifted, it has the following options;

  • Refer the matter to the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission, or

  • Provide a response regarding the issues in dispute which can be taken to Worksite Representatives to consider

The PSA is keen to resolve the dispute, and looks forward to meaningful solutions to address the current workload crisis. Should members be approached, any issues raised by management should be requested to be put in writing, and your worksite representative and the PSA notified. The PSA will assist you respond to any queries. Any inappropriate behaviours of management should be reported to the PSA and PSA worksite representatives. You have the right to seek an adjournment of any meeting to seek advice.
