Consultation - Staff Movements - SAFECOM and SES

The Public Service Association (PSA) has been made aware that SAFECOM are proposing to transfer four FTE positions State Emergency Services (SES). These positions are within the Zone Emergency Management project/program (ZERM).

Although the PSA recognises that changes to organisational needs occur from time to time, it is also expected that all agencies follow due process and engage in genuine consultation.

The PSA understands that staff have been advised through a meeting held on Wednesday that these changes would be effective from 1 July 2016.

The PSA has written to the Chief Executive of Emergency Services Mr Malcolm Jackman advising him that the PSA expects that genuine consultation is to occur prior to any changes to staffing, as per the provisions of the SA Public Sector Wages Parity Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2014.
