The Public Service Association (PSA) has been advised that the bans placed by ANMF (SA Branch) members on 10 June 2016 on admissions to the RAH MHSS Unit ('old' C3) and use of the MHSS Seclusion Room, due to safety concerns, have been lifted.

Correspondence to the PSA on 1 July 2016 from the Acting Director of Strategic Operations, CALHN Mental Health, advises that:

  •  The ward will commence occupancy from midday 1 July 2016

  •  The ward will accommodate 8 beds, with the capacity to flex to 12

  •  The staffing arrangements will be for 12 beds at all times

  •  A range of building works are being undertaken and three guards will remain on the ward 24/7 for the duration of works to ensure the safety of staff and consumers

PSA members are encouraged to contact their management, and also the PSA, if there are any further concerns.
