Action Today - Our Trains and Trams Not For Sale

08 August 2019

As part of the campaign against the privatisation of the rail network, PSA Members are encouraged to join with fellow union members from the RTBU, CEPU, AWU and Professionals Australia outside the State Administration Building today at 1:00pm where recent petitions from the ‘Our Trains and Trams Not for Sale’ will be delivered to Premier Steven Marshall MP.

The proposed privatiasation will not only affect our members who work in the rail network, it will affect all South Australian public transport users.

When: 1:00pm, Today, Thursday 8 August 2019
Where: Meet at State Administration Building, 200 Victoria Square

Affected members from all unions have requested Minister for Transport, Stephan Knoll MP address them at a meeting to explain why his Government believes it is in South Australia’s interest to sell off our public rail network. So far Minister Knoll has not answered the request to meet or provide a business case for privatisation.

As such the RTBU has arranged today’s event to demand that Premier Marshall meets with employees who are affected by the privatisation as Minister Knoll refuses to meet with them.
