PSA Salaried Enterprise Bargaining Proposals Worksite Representatives and EB Ambassadors Briefed

26 April 2017

PSA Worksite Representatives and EB Ambassadors unanimously confirmed at the meeting that the PSA should table the proposals for negotiation with the government at the earliest opportunity and make the proposals available to the full PSA membership at that time.

The meeting heard that further refinement of the PSA proposals would continue, in particular around Agency specific matters.

Acting General Secretary Natasha Brown told the meeting it was important that PSA members -  through their Worksite Representatives and EB Ambassadors - were informed about the PSA’s proposals before they were tabled with government.

The next Enterprise Bargaining General Meeting will be held between the PSA, government and other representatives on Friday 28 April 2017.

The PSA’s proposals are informed by the “What You Have Told Us” document which was developed following extensive membership consultation last year. The proposals are focussed on ensuring clarity and consistency, and reducing ambiguity and the potential for misinterpretation.

The proposals deal with the five key themes identified by members:

1. Job Protection
2. Wages and Conditions
3. Workload
4. Classification
5. Standardisation

Members will be kept informed about the progress of negotiations, including through a PSA Information Update to be issued after the EB General Meeting on Friday, 28 April 2017.
